Our methodology
Choiseul 100 Russia rating was developed throughout 2018 by Paris-based Institut Choiseul and Observo analytical center under the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry based in Moscow, with the support of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
The rating was developed in three stages:
- defining the objectives and methodological adjustment;
- research and selection of profiles;
- validation and approval of the final ranking highlighting the 100 most promising young Russian economic leaders.
Several eligibility criteria were adopted to identify the profiles: the laureates had to be Russian citizens during assessment, be born after October 1, 1978, and have made a real contribution to the development of the Russian economy.
To measure the talent of the laureates of the Choiseul 100 Russia ranking, several selection criteria were considered, such as: achievements (experience, progress), current professional situation (position, reputation, influence), potential (creativity, vision, agility).
The 2019 ranking was finalised on February 28, 2019. Developments and changes in the professional profiles of the laureates that occurred after the date have not been taken into account.
Thorough research ensured the reflection of Russia’s vast territory in order to include talented economic profiles from the regions.
In addition, the professional profiles of laureates were divided into several categories to reflect the strategic sectors of the Russian economy, such as economic administration, banking, finance, insurance, energy, transport, start-up, new economy & IT, agro-food, trade/retail, service sector, industry.
